Taking offence to songs and movies is nothing new in the country, something we’ve all witnessed during Karni Sena’s protest against Padmaavat

And now, it’s the song Oru Adaar Love, that has been ruling our social media since a couple of days.

Taking offense to the lyrics of the song, one Muqueet Khan has filed a complaint at the Falaknuma Police station in Hyderabad, as per a CNN News 18 report.

In a statement given to CNN News 18, Muqueet said, “I tried to sing the song and when I checked the translation, it was about Prophet Mohammad. A girl and boy are romancing but linking background with religious sentiments.”

When asked about whether he will want to withdraw the complaint, he said, “I will not take back my complaint. I have checked on YouTube and then filed my complaint.”

A clip from the song went insanely viral a few days ago, making actress Priya Varrier an overnight internet sensation.

She was flooded with attention from people across the country, so much that she was given the title of ‘India’s national crush’.

But with the complaint being filed against the song, things have taken a controversial turn now.
