Indian Cricket Legend, Mithali Raj To Get A Biopic, Tapsee Pannu May Play The Iconic Sportsperson

Sportswomen in our country are finally getting the much deserved recognition. Captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, Mithali Raj is all set to get her own biopic.

According to speculations, Taapsee Pannu will be taking on the role of the Indian cricketer.

Hailing from Jodhpur, Mithali Raj has completed twenty years in International Cricket. She is also considered one of the greatest batswomen the game has ever witnessed. During the Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup in 2018, she became the leading run-scorer for India.

The project was announced back in 2017 by Viacom18 and has generated a lot of interest. According to Mirror Now, Taapsee has verbally agreed but she is yet to sign the papers to make it official. All the other formalities will be completed once a director comes on board. The script is still being developed.
