According to a report by Forbes, the Indian sports drama directed by Nitesh Tiwari earned an additional Rs 2.5 crore on its 53rd day at the China Box Office on Monday, taking the total worldwide gross to Rs 2,000 crore mark.

Beating the records of Captain America: Civil War, xXx: Return Of Xander Cage, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, Titanic 3D, The Jungle Book, Kung Fu Panda 3 and many others, Dangal  is now reportedly the only non-Hollywood film to be listed among the top 16 highest grossing films of all time at China box office.

Avatar and Chris Pratt’s Jurassic World, as per the report, stands ahead of Dangal on the 15th and 14th positions respectively.

Besides being the highest-grossing sports movie of 2017, the film Dangal is also the fifth highest-grossing non-English film in the history.
