Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone are among the ten celebrities in the world, with high number of fake followers on Instagram.
According to reports, Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) carried out a research on celebrities worldwide. This research now claims that celebrities, including Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone have maximum number of fake followers or ‘bots’ on their social media.
The analysis stated that Deepika Padukone who currently has 37.9 million followers on Instagram is on the sixth spot on the list with a massive 48% of fake followers.
While Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who currently has 43.6 million followers on Instagram is on the tenth spot with 46% of fake followers.
ICMP mentioned in a statement,
We took various ‘most successful’ and ‘most followed’ to build our list of celebrities across acting, sport, music, and TV personalities. We then filtered this by the number of followers to give ourselves a top 100 most followed list. We then ran their Instagram and Twitter handles through IG Audit and Sparktoro’s fake Twitter follower’s tool to measure what percentage of their following was actually real.
Attaining the top spot on the list is talk show host Ellen DeGeneres with 58 percent of fake followers on Instagram, followed by boy-band BTS with 48 percent.
While Kourtney Kardashian tied with Pop star Taylor Swift with 49 percent fake followers. Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, and Katy Perry also were among the ten celebrities.
