‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ Director Kundan Shah Passes Away At 69, Twitter Remembers The Legend

Director Kundan Shah, best known for cult-favourite Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, has passed away. He was 69. The news was confirmed by the director’s daughter, as reported by the Indian Express.

Kundan Shah, after graduating from India’s premier institute FTII, shot to fame for his masterful satire starring Naseeruddin Shah, Ravi Baswani and host of amazing actors who formed a part of the ensemble.

He’s also remembered for his TV shows in the 1980s like Nukkad and Wagle Ki Duniya, which captured the everyday troubles of middle-class India.

Shah also championed the female-centric films in the early 2000s like Kya Kehna and Dil Hai Tumhaara. His last film released in 2014 called P se PM tak.

Twitter is grieving the passing of the great director.
