Disney India Gets New Boss As Mahesh Samat Replaces Siddharth Roy Kapur

Mahesh Samat will return as Managing Director of Walt Disney India after 4 years, replacing Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Samat will take charge of all Walt Disney businesses in India, except ESPN, said an Exchange4media report.

 In the same report Samat expressed his happiness about joining Disney again. 

He left Disney four years ago to establish Epic Television network and said he was excited about the return.  

For the last few months, the industry was abuzz with Disney India shutting down it’s Bollywood film production business. With Samat on board now, time will tell if they will still expand their Bollywood wing at Walt Disney.
