Ed Sheeran Is A One-Man Band! Watch Him Perform ‘Shape Of You’ At The Grammys All On His Own

Isha Jalan

That Ed Sheeran is an amazing singer-songwriter goes without saying but after seeing what he did at the 2017 Grammys, it is safe to say that the future of pop music is in safe hands.

He’s talented, he’s hardworking AND he can play an entire set at the Grammys ALL BY HIMSELF.

Yes, that’s right.

Watch him set the stage on fire here:

For the uninitiated, Sheeran is using a loop pedal in the video. A loop is a repeated section of the song that can be recorded via the pedal and then repeated as part of the song. Sheeran uses his voice and his guitar to record the song, the seconds, the acoustics, the baseline etc. He also drums on the guitar for the beats.

We’ve seen loop pedals before but this one is quite elaborate and to think that he performed this live AT THE GRAMMYS. Yeah well, no biggie!

And now that the song is stuck in your head, how about you trip on the original version here:

You’re a genius, Ed!
