Despite the fact that a movie would have nowhere to be, if there wasn’t a story to develop, writers are often relegated to the background, as actors and directors take centre stage.
But, in a rare and much-appreciated move, the creators of Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl credited the full writing team in the first look poster itself – something that writer and lyricist Varun Grover pointed out, and appreciated the team for.
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl–produced by Dharma productions–stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead and is directed by Sharan Sharma. It also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Manav Vij, Angad Bedi, and Vineet Kumar.
We really hope that this is one ‘trend’ that soon becomes the norm because writers really deserve more credit than they’re given!
