From Zaira Wasim To Akshay Kumar, Here’s How The Stars Shone At The 64th National Film Awards

The 64th National Awards ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in the national capital on Wednesday saw almost all the big names amongst the winners from the film industry. 

While Neerja actress Sonam Kapoor was proudly accompanied by her parents and special friend Anand Ahuja for the prestigious event. Rustom star Akshay Kumar seemed all smiles in the company of his wife Twinkle Khanna and son Aarav. 

Right before the commencement of the event, the celebrities even took to social media to share their excitement.

At the age of only 16, Zaira Wasim, hailing from Kashmir, received her first National Award for the Best supporting role in Aamir Khan starrer Dangal.

Akshay Kumar was honoured as the Best actor for his performance in Rustom.

Producer Rashmi Sharma and the director, Ram Madhavani, of Pink were honoured in the Best Film On Social Issue category. 

Adhish Praveen gets the Best Child Artist award for Kunju Daivam

Actor Mohanlal receives Special Jury award for Pulimurugan, Janatha Garage and Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol. 

Surabhi Lakshmi was honoured with the Best actress award for her performance in Malayalam film Minnaminungu.

Adil Hussain was honoured twice for his performance in Mukti Bhavan (Hindi) and Maj Rati Keteki (Assamese)
