A comedy sketch is all the more funnier when it is well-observed and relatable. Abhijeet Bhatt, who earlier turned his experiences of meeting hellish landlords into a video, is back with a new one which unlocks the laughter quotient within desi parents and their decisions surrounding restaurants.
Minutely observed, the video is all the more funnier since Bhatt plays all the characters himself. It has the all sacrificing ‘Mother India’ who suddenly loses her appetite as soon as the family sits down to order, and also the manager who appears like a genie each time you call for him. He also manages to weave Modi’s recent policies into the sketch.
If you’re a middle-class desi kid who has wanted to take his/her parents to a restaurant after getting a job, you will completely relate with this video and find it all the more funny.
