16 years ago, Bollywood saw the release of two huge films on the same weekend. They were Aamir Khan’s Lagaan and Sunny Deol’s Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.
While Lagaan hit us hard with the Indians vs British story, Gadar went all out to tap on the India vs Pakistan sentiment.
And let’s be honest, Lagaan might be on TV every alternate week now, but back then, it was angry Sunny Paaji’s revolt for love that really got our adrenaline rushing.
