Game of Thrones season 8 has just premiered and if you haven’t seen it yet, chill. There aren’t any spoilers in this article. Just a bit about the new introduction and the Da da dadada da…

With the newly increased budget and all, the showrunners have done a bit of an upgrade with the intro and the theme song.

As we all know, the title intro is basically a rundown of the places in the 7 kingdoms and their fortresses and their rulers.

However, this time, there’s a huge difference.

We start from the Wall. And there is a big dragon-sized hole in it.

And then we come to Winterfell as usual.

Only this time, the scene takes us through the crypts. I don’t remember that happening before.

Makes you wonder, doesn’t it?

And then, they skip right to King’s Landing, because what other kingdoms matter at this point?

And its rulers, of course!

And finally, the one thing the entire show has been about  – The Iron Throne.

Oh, and BTW, there’s something else you might want to know. The murals on the astrolabe have changed.

The first one depicts the fall of The Wall.

The 2nd one shows us the Red Wedding.

And the third one takes us back to the birth of Dany’s dragons.

You can watch the new intro here:

So go ahead and watch the show. Because the internet is dark and full of spoilers!
