Chetan Bhagat’s best selling novel, Half Girlfriend, released in 2014 and became quite popular amongst the young generation. And much like Bhagat’s previous books, this one too has been adapted into a movie with the film even retaining the original title.
Starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, the film is directed by Mohit Suri (of Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain fame).
The movie is set in Delhi University’s St. Stephen’s College and is based on the two primary characters, Madhav (Arjun Kapoor) and Riya (Shraddha Kapoor). They come from different worlds but somehow Riya ends up being Madhav’s ‘half girlfriend’.
The film adaptation will witness a few changes from the novel.
