The Filmfare Awards 2017 managed to bring a smile on the faces of many artists in the film industry who were earlier snubbed or rather didn’t get their due. However, Harshvardhan Kapoor is one such actor who is quite miffed with the jury for not choosing him or Neerja‘s Jim Sarbh to have the opportunity of taking away the black lady home.

Harsh had a moment of glory by bagging two honors for his debut in Mirzya at the recent Award ceremonies prior to the Filmfare Awards.

However, these recognition didn’t seem to be enough for the young actor who hoped that the Filmfare jury will acknowledge the deserving one’s as well. Both Harsh and Jim lost out to Punjabi sensation, Diljit Dosanjh for his debut in ‘Udta Punjab’.

While speaking to Scoopwhoop News, Harshvardhan Kapoor not only expressed his disappointment towards the unfair decision of the Filmfare jury for choosing Dosanjh over him but also stressed upon Jim Sarbh’s nomination in the same category. “Diljit made his first appearance in Tere Naal Pyaar Ho Gaya and has also done several regional films. Jim Sarbh was amazing in Neerja too in the same category. How the Filmfare decides should be revised as it was Jim’s promising debut and it’s his first film too” said Kapoor.

He also took to twitter to share his thoughts on the issue.

The actor argued saying that Diljit Dosanjh made his first Bollywood appearance in Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh starrer film Tere Naal Pyaar Ho Gaya in 2012 besides making a name for himself in Punjabi cinema. Hence, this can’t be called as his ‘debut’ performance award.

Harsh was also seen getting into a debate in a series of tweets with one of the senior editor’s of Filmfare on twitter.

The Mirzya actor will next be seen in Bhavesh Joshi, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane.
