Actress Emma Watson FaceTimed with a fan to help her study for her exams after the fan’s mother met her in New York.

After the conversation, the fan, Therese Kiara, took to Facebook to share her excitement.

Here’s what she wrote:

This FaceTime call comes a week after Watson said she avoids social media as she thinks ‘technology can dehumanise’ people.

According to a report by E! News, the 27-year-old actress said that being in the film industry takes a toll on the mind of the artistes and therefore, she chooses to maintain a distance from the internet addiction.

“For my sanity, I cannot even go there (and read comments on Instagram). I have to create some distance because I am human, you know? I think there is this way that, sometimes, technology can dehumanise and its like theyre saying something about someone that isn’t there, but I am there and I am real. So yeah, I have to create some distance for sure,” says Emma.
