As you would’ve realised, Bollywood award shows aren’t about honouring an actor’s hard work and talent but about massaging people’s egos instead.
That the award shows are scripted and rigged is no news to us but with the same charade happening every year, we have completely lost our confidence in these so-called ‘award’ ceremonies.
With the announcement of Filmfare’s nomination list for 2016, we were left quite disappointed. Yet again, the magazine chose to ignore actual talent. Yet again, some truly deserving performances were not even nominated.
Deeply upset with the same drill that goes around every year, we decided to honour the performances and films that truly stood out in 2016:
