In 1997, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal came to the small screen as a breath of fresh air. It was a first-of-its-kind elite talk show that hosted some of the biggest A-list celebrities.
And now, 18 years later, the show is making a sensational comeback soon with a 2.0 edition.
Simi told Mid-Day,
I have never revealed names till I’ve shot the episode. But I’ll reveal this — Deepika and Ranveer have promised their first interview together for Rendezvous.
The format will be identical to its classic version. Except, this time the show will air on YouTube on Garewal’s own channel.
She further added that there would no “gossip and games” as she feels it is the easy way out. Instead the show will purely be about “getting to know the person”, she says.
We’re not sure exactly when, but it’s speculated to come this year with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone as its first guests.
