Kargil Hero Captain Vikram Batra Is All Set To Get His Own Biopic Titled ‘Shershaah’

A biopic on Kargil hero Captain Vikram Batra is in pipeline and it will star Sidharth Malhotra in the leading role. 

In a tweet, Sidharth announced the name of the movie to be Shershaah. 

Interestingly, Shershaah was the title given to the Captain by the Pakistan Army, who couldn’t refer to him by his name in the encrypted messages. 

Captain Batra was posthumously awarded with Paramveer Chakra – India’s highest gallantry award – for his role in the war and his ultimate sacrifice. 

Co-produced by Karan Johar, the movie will also star Kiara Advani in a leading role and the team will begin shooting soon. 

The year of release is yet to be announced.
