12 years ago, when Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa first released, it left people pleasantly surprised and spooked.
And now horror and comedy are all set to make a return, as the first look for Bhool Bhulaiyaa2 just released. This time, it looks like Kartik Aaryan is the ‘holy spirit’ or at least the one catching it!
Kartik Aaryan shared the images from the movie on his Instagram handle, and fashioned himself as a ‘ghostbuster’.
While the original was directed by Priyadarshan, the sequel will be directed by Anees Bazmee. No announcement has yet been made about the remaining starcast.
However, for Twitterati, the biggest question remains – can Kartik Aaryan really replace Akshay Kumar as the eccentric ‘ghostbuster’?
The first film combined elements of horror and comedy to ultimately present an unusual thriller. Hopefully, this sequel does not follow the tradition of Bollywood sequels, but presents a story just as exciting as the original one. The film is currently set for July 2020 release.
