Actor R. Madhavan is gearing up to play the role of ISRO scientist S Nambi Narayanan in his directorial debut Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.

Today Madhavan shared an image of him preparing for the role, and he has completely nailed the look. In fact, safe to say, he looks like Narayanan’s doppelganger.

The 48-year-old actor is playing a 77-year-old scientist in the movie and spent two years getting his look and mannerisms in place.

He earlier took to Instagram to share that it took him 14 hours to undergo the transformation, but the final results definitely seem to be worth it.

S. Nambi Narayanan was working with ISRO, in-charge of the cryogenics division, when he was accused of espionage in 1994, but the charges were later dropped. The movie, that will be released in five languages, is based on his life.
