Delhi’s Madame Tussauds Just Unveiled Madhubala’s Wax Statue But Is There Any Resemblance At All?

Tatsam Mukherjee

One of the prettiest actors to have ever graced the silver screen, Madhubala has remained an enigma for her fans, considering she passed away rather young. Starring in one of the most iconic romances in K Asif’s Mughal-E-Azam, Madhubala immortalised songs Pyaar kiya toh darna kya and Mohe panghat pe thanks to her exquisite dancing ada, unlike any other leading lady in the country.

And now in a tribute from Madame Tussauds Delhi, that very same grace has been encapsulated into a wax statue. And it’s evoking a lot of emotion, all kinds.

Some weren’t sure if it looked like the actor at all.

While some couldn’t wait to click a selfie with the ‘Anarkali of Bollywood’.

The late actor’s youngest sibling Madhu Brij showed up for the inauguration of the statue, which she was clearly impressed with.

We have to admit that it is hard work, trying to recreate a wax statue merely by observing her on a screen. And therefore we would love to overlook the nitty-gritty and put our hands together at this attempt at capturing the late actor in all her grace.
