Making Waves Abroad! Radhika Apte Wins Best Actress Award At Prestigious Tribeca Film Festival

It’s not just Priyanka Chopra who is making us proud on foreign shores. Bollywood Actress Radhika Apte won the Best Actress in an International Narrative Feature for her performance in Madly at The Tribeca Film Festival 2016.

Tribeca’s Twitter handle announced the news:

Madly is a film composed of six short stories directed by six directors from different nations. Gael García Bernal, ( Argentina), Anurag Kashyap, (India), Natasha Khan,(UK), Sebastián Silva, (USA) Sion Sono, (Japan),  and Mia Wasikowska, ( Australia) directed the six short films.

This is the same film which faced a lot of controversy last year when a video featuring Apte’s frontal nudity leaked online and went viral. But Apte continues to shine whether in her appearances in short films, or full fledged films catering to the masses.

It’s also heart warming to see fellow Bollywood actors and veterans congratulating her on Twitter:
