While Gully Boy brought desi hip-hop to the forefront it wasn’t just the protagonist Murad (Ranveer Singh) who stole our heart. Truth be told, his guru and friend, MC Sher made us unwitting cheerleaders as well.

And now it appears that MC Sher played expertly by Siddhant Chaturvedi, is all set to wow us with his story as a spin-off may be in the works.

As per reports, Ritesh Sidhwani and Zoya Akhtar are planning a spin-off on MC Sher’s story. Though his character is loosely inspired by the life of rapper Naezy, ultimately Gully Boy was a culmination and mainstream representation of the desi rap scene in India.

According to Mid Day:

“Siddhant’s character MC Sher became a sensation soon after the release; fans have been bombarding the makers to know more about his character, therefore the team is considering a movie entirely based on Siddhant’s character.”

Though his character is loosely inspired by the life of rapper Naezy, ultimately Gully Boy was a culmination and mainstream representation of the desi rap scene in India.

So we are definitely looking out for this spin-off, that may or may not be a biopic, but sure as hell has us revisiting the movie and Siddhant’s epic rap skills.
