The upcoming biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story on cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been declared tax-free in his home state Jharkhand.
The biopic features actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role.“The Jharkhand government yesterday waived entertainment tax for the biopic on Dhoni, to be released on September 30”, an official said.
“Dhoni was born in Ranchi and that is where his journey began. We are extremely thrilled and thankful to the Jharkhand government, who are welcoming the film on Dhoni’s life with such open arms,” Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios (producer) told.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey the biopic, shows how coaches, mentors and friends inspired young Dhoni (Sushant) to become an ace cricketer and captain of the Indian cricket team.
The film also starts Kiara Advani, Disha Patani, Anupam Kher, Bhumika Chawla and others.
