Bollywood Producers Meet Mumbai Cops Over Threats Against ADHM’s Release

Threats from Political party intensifies ahead of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’s release. MNS took a stern stand against the movies starring Pakistani actors and has now warned not only the producers of the film, but the owners of multiplexes as well to not showcase the film.

This development urged the makers of the film and few producers from the industry to approach the Joint commissioner of Police. Reportedly, Mukesh Bhatt, Anupama Chopra from the Mumbai Film Festival and CEO of Fox Star India who is one of the producers of the film approached the police. Post the meeting Mumbai Police has assured full security against such threats confirm sources. In a statement to media, Ashok Dudhe, DCP of Mumbai Police has confirmed. “We Mumbai Police will provide adequate protection to Cinema Theatres as and when required.”

Recently, MNS leader Amey Khopkar told PTI, “We will oppose the screening of the movie everywhere in the state. If any multiplex operator dares to screen the film, they (operators) should remember that multiplexes are decorated with expensive glass sheets.We will also oppose Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ though it is slated to release in January.”

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, has been in trouble since the outrage against Pakistani actors began post Uri Attacks. The film is set to release on 28th October.
