Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has sent a legal notice to Filmfare magazine for allegedly misleading the readers by its false publication about his personal life on their website.

A recent ‘couple splitting-up’ article on Nawazuddin and his wife Anjali published by Filmfare featured a photograph of an unknown woman with the actor, following which the actor has accused them of defamation.

The notice sent by actor’s lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee states, Filmfare has caused ‘unwarranted and uncalled for mental torture, trauma and inconvenience’ to Nawazuddin by ‘recklessly publishing a false, unconfirmed and unverified article’.

The actor, therefore, is not only seeking an apology from the magazine but also demanding them to carry a clarification article within 7 days.

Filmfare as of now seems to have only replaced the picture and the article remains as it is on their portal.

Meanwhile, squashing all rumours about their separation, Nawazuddin’s manager Shamas N Siddiqui took to twitter to congratulate the actor on his 7th wedding anniversary.
