Nawaz said he got carried away while performing the scene and hurt himself in the process. Recounting the experience he told DNA,

“I suppose I got carried away and began to pound it so hard that my hand suffered a deep wound and required stitches. And since the tin was rusted I had to take anti-tetanus injections as well.”

Being a thorough professional, he believes in giving his best. He told DNA,

“Caution is not a primary consideration when I am doing a scene. I sometimes get so carried away I don’t know what I am doing to myself. Injuries will happen. They are part and parcel of the process of getting into the character.”

On being quizzed about his equation with co-star Bidita Bag, he expressed his happiness and told DNA

“Woh kehte hain na,jo hota hai achcha ke liye hota hai (whatever happens, is for the best). Bidita is perfect for the part. She’s a pleasure to work with.”

Recently, the film had made headlines after its heroine Chitrangada Singh walked out of it, alleging that director Kushan Nandy had asked her to shoot inappropriate scenes.
