At the time of the Kargil War, female pilots in the army were pretty much unheard of. Despite these kinds of overwhelming odds and opposition, Gunjan Saxena became India’s first woman Air Force Officer to enter a war zone.
That’s the inspiring tale that’s being brought to life via a biopic that is soon to be released on Netflix. Janhvi Kapoor plays the titular character, the intrepid Gunjan Saxena who paved the way for change and inspired countless Indians.
