Netflix’s Next Indian Offering ‘Ghoul’ Promises To Be The Supernatural Thriller We’ve Waited For

The trailer for Netflix’s first Indian horror original series, Ghoul, just released, and honestly, we cannot wait.

After Sacred Games, the bar has already been set very high.

With Ghoul, it appears to be raising the standard for supernatural thrillers.

Starring Radhika Apte and Manav Kaul, the show has been collaboratively produced by Phantom Films, Ivanhoe, and Blumhouse.

Radhika Apte plays the role of Nida, a military officer who turns in her own father for anti-national activities and is now working as an interrogator at a covert detention facility.

Manav Kaul appears to be her supervising officer, who is also posted at the same location.

The show’s main antagonist appears to be a prisoner brought in for interrogation, who ends up turning the table against the interrogators by forcing them to focus on the demons inside them.

The brief trailer seems to employ limited supernatural clichés, and is intriguing, to say the least. The series is supposed to have 3 episodes of 1 hour each.

Watch the trailer here.

The series will air on August 24.
