So here’s the deal. I’ve been a fan of the Marvel cinematic universe ever since I was a kid. First, a school kid who saved his pocket money to buy the comics and later a college kid who did a part-time job to afford the Avenger’s movie tickets; Marvel has been a constant in my life. Guess what? I’ve also had debates with the fans of, let’s just say, another cinematic universe, about which one is better. But then Avengers: Infinity War released this year and proved that nothing beats Marvel.
Just when I thought 2019 will be the year when I’ll get to see the Avengers again, I learned about the re-release of Infinity War in…wait for it, Hindi! Now I am not a fan of Hindi-dubbed movies either, but this one has caught my attention for its witty dialogues and tongue-in-cheek humor. I mean, rarely do we see our favorite superheroes being their hilarious and charismatic self in a desi tongue, complete with Hindi slangs. So here are some amusing dialogues in Hindi from Avengers: Infinity War that will have you laughing hysterically.
1. When Iron Man sassed Thanos’ ‘santaan’ with his A-level humor
2. What Quill says to Groot after he refuses to shut down his video game is basically what every elder brother says to his younger brother when he gets a girlfriend.
3. Oh, Spidey! Iron Man has lent you a suit! But he’s still the boss!
4. Even Star-Lord gets jealous of Thor’s looks! Because Thor is a ‘khoobsurat mard’.
Ladies, you with me on this?
5. All I have to say to Quill is ‘Do you even lift, bro?’
Now that Quill has been called a ‘mota’, there’s no doubt that he’s going to hit the gym!
6. So he does. Quill promises to exercise and lift dumbbells but Rocket has some choice words for him.
7. I ain’t no homo, bro!
8. Manscaping is important yo! Plus, there’s nothing like a man complimenting another man’s looks!
Ouch! That’s gotta hurt!
So as you can see here, the Hindi version of Avengers: Infinity War is full of witty jokes and humor, with a desi twist! I don’t know about you, but I just cannot miss out on my favorite superheroes speaking in Hindi and at the same time, being their charming self.
