Not Many Know It, But Popular Actor-Filmmaker Neeraj Vora Has Been In Coma For 10 Months

Not many people are aware of it, but director, writer and popular actor Neeraj Vora has been in coma for the last ten months.

Vora, known mostly for his supporting roles in many Bollywood films like Rangeela (1995), Mann (1999), Satya (1998), Company (2002), among others, suffered a heart attack followed by a brain stroke, on October 19 last year.

What happened?

As reported by Mumbai Mirror in April, Vora, 54, was in Delhi for some work when he suffered a massive heart attack and a brain stroke. He was admitted to AIIMS on October 19. Shortly later, he slipped into a coma.

He was brought back to Mumbai and was shifted to producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s house that was converted into an ICU. As per reports, he continues to recuperate over there.

Who is Vora?

For anyone who’s watched Hindi films, Vora is a familiar face who’s made his mark as a comic actor in popular cinema.

Vora, who’s also written films such as Daud (1997), Hera Pheri (2000) and others, has also directed films such as Phir Hera Pheri (2006), and was working on Hera Pheri 3, when he suffered the stroke. The film has been reportedly kept on hold in the hope of Vora’s recovery.
