Director Shaad Ali made his debut in 2002 with the epic love story, Saathiya and the film has become a classic over the years. While the film’s story and execution were great, what has stayed with us even after all those years is the film’s music by A. R. Rahman.
Well, OK Jaanu has managed to transport us to those good ol’ Saathiya days and how!
The film is an official remake of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film OK Kanmani. From the trailer, it looks like it’s the story of an uncomplicated yet complicated relationship and has surprised us by leaps and bounds. The lead couple’s nonchalant chemistry is so easy going that it actually got us excited for the film.
Shaad Ali’s last directorial venture, Kill Dil (2014) failed to create an impression but with this trailer, the director has reminded us of the time when he created magic on screen with Rani Mukerji & Vivek Oberoi.
Shraddha Kapoor’s last appearance in Rock On 2 did not live up to the audience’s expectations and even Aditya Roy Kapur’s last outing in Fitoor was quite forgettable. So, this trailer has come as a genuine surprise.
The two created some great chemistry in the musical, Aashiqui 2 and it looks like they are back with a bang!
