While Shashi Kapoor breathed his last on December 4 last year after succumbing to a prolonged illness.

… and Eddie Vedder performed a moving version of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ Room at the Top to remember the artists who unfortunately passed away between 2017-2018.

Both the actors have left a legacy that will live on forever. While Sridevi was a pan-India star who left an indelible mark in people’s hearts world over, Shashi Kapoor featured in many global films and will be remembered for his contribution to the world of cinema.

The Indian film industry and fans were touched by the gesture.

Hollywood artists James Bond star Roger Moore, Mary Goldberg and Johan Johansson, John Heard and Sam Shepard are among those who were featured in this segment.

The 90th Academy Awards was hosted by popular talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and was held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
