An employee of a central paramilitary force was arrested by the cyber police in Mumbai for accessing Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor’s Income Tax e- filing account, police said on Monday night.
The arrested man wanted to get Kareena’s personal mobile number so he hacked her IT account, they said.
Kareena’s chartered accountant had approached the police last year with a complaint that someone had hacked her Income Tax e-filing account and tampered with it.
The cyber crime division of the Mumbai police tracked down the culprit on Monday.
The arrested individual would file income tax returns for people as a part-time job while working with a paramilitary force, police said. They did not disclose his identity and said that further investigations were on.
