When Anushka Sharma produced NH 10 under her banner Clean Slate Films in 2015, the audience got a glimpse of her aesthetic as a storyteller who wants to produce good content.
Phillauri, starring Anushka Sharma, Diljit Dosnajh and Suraj Sharma is her second production venture and the trailer looks like a perfect mix of romance and comedy.
Anushka plays Shashi, a friendly ghost who accidentally gets married to Suraj’s character when he is asked to get married to a tree. The spirit then narrates her love story from the pre-partition era.
Anushka stars opposite Diljit Dosanjh in this soulful yet quirky romantic comedy.
This is Diljit’s second Hindi film. Last year, he was immensely praised for his performance in Udta Punjab.
The film also stars Suraj Sharma of Life of Pi fame.
