Priyanka Chopra’s Sikkimese Film ‘Pahuna’ Wins Big At Germany’s Children Film Fest

Sikkimese film Pahuna – The Little Visitors, has won two awards at the SCHLINGEL International Film Festival for Children and Young Audience in Germany. 

The movie has been directed by Paakhi A Tyrewala and produced under Priyanka and Madhu Chopra’s banner Purple Pebble Pictures.

The movie, that narrates the heartwrenching story of three Nepalese children separated from their parents, won the European Children’s Film Award.

The movie also earned a special mention in the Awards of The Professional Jury Feature Film International category. The film was also screened at the Toronto International Film Festival last year.

According to Scroll, Madhu Chopra shared how grateful they were for the win. 

Pahuna will always be a very special film for all of us at Purple Pebble Pictures. When we started the journey of Pahuna, we didn’t anticipate the film to go this far. But God has been kind and the film has resonated with the audience not just in India but across the globe.
