Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas getting married is the Hollywood-Bollywood union that has left fans from across the globe excited.
In an exclusive interview with Vogue, the two shared their love story. And yes, it will hit you with more feels than you can handle.
The love affair that’s taken the world by storm started with Nick Jonas getting down on one knee at the Vanity Fair Oscars party last year.
“I put my drink down, get on one knee—this is in front of a bunch of people—and I say, ‘You’re real. Where have you been all my life?’ Like, loud.”
From the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscars party – where Priyanka literally had only five minutes to spare for him – to meeting a week before they attended the Met Gala 2017 together (and sparked rumors everywhere), the two corresponded, rather flirted, over texts.
Because this is a modern-day fairytale, it was a match made on Twitter DM and not heaven. Nick, impressed by her performance in Quantico, approached her on Twitter.
Priyanka promptly responded that since her Twitter DM was open to her whole team, private chat would work better.
And that’s how the flirtexting (flirting meets texting) started. On the first date, the two met at Priyanka’s house, and Nick left without a kiss, out of respect for her mother, who was present at the time.

With Priyanka’s schedule and the unavoidable time difference, dates were naturally difficult. But Priyanka still remembers the date (it was in LA) where attraction turned to genuine affection for her.
He said, “I love the way you look at the world. I love the drive you have.” As a girl, I’ve never had a guy tell me, ‘I like your ambition,’. It’s always been the opposite.

For Nick, it was when he invited Priyanka (after the 2018 Met Gala) for a live performance of Beauty and the Beast.
She walks into the Chateau, and I feel an overwhelming sense of peace and understanding about this next chapter of my life.
This date was followed by an outing to the Dodgers baseball game. And for Nick, he already knew that he was going to marry Priyanka. In fact, he even told his mother that she was the girl for him!
And then, a year and half after Nick first got down on his knees and professed that he liked her, he got down on his knees again, in Crete, and asked for her hand in marriage.
Yes, he had indeed shut down Tiffany & Co. in London to pick the ring for her. Yes, she was speechless for 45 seconds. Yes, this is the most perfect love story we’ve read.
Despite having seen glimpses of the two – on double dates and cycling across towns – there was not much that we knew about how this romance started.
And knowing the details now, we can’t help but agree that this is a special kind of romance indeed.
