Alfred Hitchcock, also known as the ‘Master of Suspense’ needs no introduction. He was regarded as one of the most influential filmmakers in the history of cinema because no one made suspense and thriller films better than he did. He made his first directorial debut in 1925 with The Pleasure Garden but he tasted success with The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog in 1927. Psycho (1960), Rear Window (1954) and Strangers on a Train (1951) were just some of his movies that topped all blockbuster charts. He was popularly known for his “Hitchcockian” style which includes the use of camera movement to mimic a person’s gaze, creating voyeurs out of viewers, and framing shots in a manner that would maximise anxiety and fear.
