Radhika Apte Talking About The Casting Couch Will Remind You Of The Dirty Side Of Bollywood

Sampada Sharma

There was a time when those outsider the film industry, looked at it as a ‘dirty business’. They thought of it as a place where people were willing to do ‘anything’ to achieve something. And more often than not, this ‘anything’ was short for falling prey to the casting couch. And while industry folks would like us to believe otherwise, the sad truth remains that the casting couch is a reality, one that the Indian film industry is yet to get rid of.

And another addition to the list of heroines having admitted to have faced the casting couch is Radhike Apte.

Known for her stellar performances, Radhika recently opened up about the time when she faced the casting couch.

In her recent interview to Bollywood Life, Radhika shared that she was once propositioned to sleep with someone for a film role. Radhika couldn’t instantly remember the episode but as she progressed with her train of thought, the details came back to her mind. She shared:

Once I got a call and they said they’re doing this film in Bollywood and I want you to have a meeting with them. But would you be okay sleeping with that person? And I laughed! I said you’re so funny, you’re very funny and I said no I’m not. Ask him to go to hell.
