The film won multiple awards at Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles & the Stockholm Film Festival.

To add another laurel to its name, Parched has now been archived at the library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The Oscar library has earlier archived many other Indian films including Lagaan, Devdas, Chak De! India. Adil Hussain, who also stars in the film, confirmed this news on Twitter:

This is surely big news for the team. Especially since, unlike big-budget mainstream films making it to the Oscar library, Parched is the first non-mainstream film to have received this honour.

We’re certainly looking forward to watching this film!

Congratulations, Team Parched!
