The Central Board of Film Certification has decided to give Ranbir Kapoor’s Jagga Jasoos a U/A certificate, reports India Today.

A source close to director Anurag Basu told DNA that it wasn’t a fair certification. “We wonder what the censor board saw in Jagga Jasoos that made it suitable for children only accompanied by an adult,” he asked.

No cuts have been recommended by the CBFC. The film, which was in the making for around four years, is about a boy’s journey to find his father.

Hindustan Times quoted CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani as saying, “Let the film release. The world will see why we think it is necessary for children to be accompanied by an adult.”

Jagga Jasoos is scheduled for release on July 14.
