Rishi Kapoor Opens Up On Relationship With Son Ranbir, Says There’s A Wall Between Them

Not known to mince words, Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor spoke his mind when he appeared on the show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, with wife Neetu Kapoor. Besides talking about Bollywood, he also made some shocking revelation about his relationship with son Ranbir Kapoor.

Rishi Kapoor tweeted about the episode: 

When asked about his favorites amongst the young generation in the film industry, he was quick to appreciate Ranveer Singh for his role in Bajirao Mastani. 

Though he further added that son Ranbir is a good actor too, but also said he did not agree with his choice of films earlier. He said, “If I was looking at his career which I don’t because I am his father not his secretary. I would have never allowed him to do a film like Wake Up Sid, Rocket Singh, or Barfi.” 

Senior Kapoor revealed that before the release of Barfi, people used to say “Tere Bete ko kya ho gaya hai ? He is going Amol Palekar way .” 

But in the end Rishi Kapoor was glad that Ranbir Kapoor proved him wrong.

Talking about his relationship with his son he said that he does not watch his films now as he becomes more critical than actually enjoying them.Making another shocking statement about his strained relationship with Ranbir, he said, “There’s a wall between us. There’s a glass between us. We can see each other but not feel anything”.

Neetu Singh also revealed that Ranbir still can’t look into his dad’s eyes and talk, in fact they generally have quiet moments without her intervention. 

Rishi also added kids are more attached to their mom.
