Move over Mutemath’s Typical which gained immense popularity for its backward playing music video. There’s a new sheriff in town. Russian band Leningrad just put out the video for their song Tattoo artist and it looks beautifully cool.
Although graphic with its portrayal of violence, the video almost looks poetic with the song playing in the background.

Directed by Ilya Nayshuller, the video looks equally beautiful when it plays chronologically, showing us right the beginning of how one simple earthly event leads to the umpteen dastardly events.
That’s what is bizarre about the video that it has been edited in such a way that it caters to the music perfectly while playing both ways. However, watching it forward hardly takes away the absurdity of the events unfolding in the music video.
