Sexist Billboard Featuring Ranveer Singh Pulled Down After Receiving Flak On Social Media

Few days ago, a billboard featuring Ranveer Singh generated a lot of flak for it’s unfortunate sexist remark. The #DontHoldBack campaign was all things disaster from the word go.

The ad went up on hoardings in Mumbai earlier this week, and was criticised on all social media platforms for disregarding consent and ridiculing women in the workplace.

As actor, Siddharth rightly pointed out,

However, the brand has now apologized for their misleading billboard and also pulled down the same from across cities in India.

Speaking to Economic Times, Vineet Gautam, country head of the brand said .“As a progressive brand that is loved by youth the world over, we take our responsibility of always being respectful, as seriously as we do our bold attitude. We regret that a billboard of our current campaign has caused people distress. We did not intend to offend anyone and discontinued it immediately,”
