We’ve seen him in films like Jolly LLB 2, Paan Singh Tomar, Peepli Live and many others but in the shadow of stars, Sitaram Panchal has always been underrated.
The actor has been fighting cancer for the past three years and he has been bed ridden for the past 10 months.
His wife spoke to Hindustan Times and said,
“Initially, he used to work and we could make ends meet. But now, he does not even have the strength to stand up. He has lost a lot of weight. Ever since the cancer was detected in January 2014, he has taken Ayurvedic treatment. It was only recently that he started a new Homeopathic medicine, following which, his condition worsened and we discontinued the medicines.”
The Facebook page for Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) wrote about the actor’s condition. He is suffering from lung and kidney cancer and CINTAA’s post urges people to help the veteran actor in his hour of need.
A crowd funding program has also been started to collect funds for his treatment on Ketto.
