Sorry SRK Lovers, ‘Fan’ Is All You Get In 2016. There’ll Be No ‘Raees’ Till 2017

The year of 2016 will not witness a fearsome clash of the Khans, as Shah Rukh Khan’s next film has been postponed. Raees will hit theatres only on January 26, 2017.

“It was not an easy decision to move the film. We understand that Raees is highly anticipated. However, a film of such magnitude requires appropriate showcasing and therefore, we have decided to shift our release date to 26th January 2017,” said a joint statement from Ritesh Sidhwani, Shah Rukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar.

Earlier, Salman Khan’s Sultan and Raees were supposed to release on the same date.

So this Eid we will have just Sultan, which is based on the professional and personal life of wrestler Sultan Ali Khan. The film has been produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner.

SRK fans are probably a bit disappointed, considering the domination of Fan in the box office this year. But at least you know now, that the year 2017 is going to have a good start, don’t you?
