The trailer for Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s new movie Stree just released, and the term ‘neighborhood witch’ just took a whole new meaning.

Stree is a horror comedy that is apparently based on the urban legend of Nale Ba, that hit the streets of Bengaluru in the 1990s.

Starring Pankaj Tripathi as the voice of caution, and information, and Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee in supporting roles, the trailer definitely promises a few laughs, though the horror element seems to be limited.

Rajkummar Rao plays the role of a seemingly innocent tailor who happens to fall in love with Shraddha Kapoor’s character.

But whether his love interest turns out to be natural or supernatural is yet to be seen.

The movie releases on August 31.
