18 years ago when Gadar: Ek Prem Katha released, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel gave Bollywood one of its biggest romantic dramas, that shattered box office records and won moviegoers’ hearts.
And now it appears Tara and Sakeen are all set to return to drama, romance, and great songs, as reportedly a sequel for Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is in the works.
As per News18, director Anil Sharma may return to the movie, along with the original cast. The sequel will also focus on India-Pakistan relations, similar to the original.
Many people took to Twitter stating that a sequel of a classic like Gadar may not be ideal, though a few fans were excited about seeing the classic love story move forward:
