Time and again, women have proven their worth in a world dominated by stereotypes and societal hierarchy. Despite all odds, women have excelled in every sphere – be it reigning household chores or bringing home medals in sports – they have conquered it all. And, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, in order to celebrate the power of women, Levi’s have unveiled the fifth season of the #IShapeMyWorld campaign.
The video brings 21 changemakers from different spheres of life in a captivating music video called Fire Within Me. The song, which has been composed by Anushqa and popular rapper Hard Kaur, stars actresses like Swara Bhaskar, Neena Gupta and Kubbra Sait, stand-up comedienne Kaneez Surka, journalist Sandhya Menon and others in the video, who have fought against all adversities to go out and achieve what they wanted.
The lyrics, with the upbeat tempo, make a song that’ll surely pump you up. “You don’t get to tell me what to do, I got an attitude that’s so brand new“, is how Hard Kaur goes about her rap and the words that follow narrate how women are motivators of change. The previous editions of #IShapeMyWorld shared stories of fearless women, while this season celebrates the power of the collective by being authentic and purposeful.
