When we think of Indian cinema, we automatically think of Bollywood. What we don’t realize is that the Indian film industry goes much beyond just that. And now, we’ve taken yet another step by making India’s first-ever crowd-sourced film, India In A Day. It’s a new concept for India, yes but the teaser of the film certainly promises exciting new possibilities.
For those who don’t know, crowd-sourcing is the practice of sourcing content/opinion/material etc. from large groups of relevant crowds.
Back in October, 2015, Ridley Scott, Anurag Kashyap, Richie Mehta and Google had asked Indians to share video clips based on their lives in an evolving India. Many entries were shared and now, almost a year later, the film is ready for everyone to see.
It is a story about love, life, hope, dreams, aspirations and worries, set in the backdrop of modern Indian technological, economic, political and sociological framework.
